Terms of Use

01The Service

CDR is a driving and personal statistics app that lets you create one-off convoys with friends, share your live location during a convoy, record your drives, see your personal driving statistics, and share your drives with friends.

CDR is not a navigation device, emergency service, vehicle tracking or security system. Convoy, drive recording and statistics features are not designed for, and may not be used for, racing, speed trials or breaking traffic rules.

02Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms for you.
• You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
• Your account is personal and may not be transferred, sold or shared.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorized use.
• Your username may not impersonate anyone, infringe trademarks, or contain insults, hate speech or obscene content.

03Driving safety

Safety on the road always comes first. When you use the Service:

• You are solely responsible for obeying traffic laws, speed limits, road signs and instructions from authorities at all times.
• Do not hold the App or use it in any way that takes your attention off the road while driving. Set up your convoy, destination and settings before you set off. If needed, let a passenger operate the App or stop in a safe place.
• Use your phone only in a legally compliant mount that does not block your view.
• Do not drive dangerously to keep up with, follow or overtake other cars in a convoy, or to hit a time or speed. Everyone in a convoy is responsible for their own vehicle and driving.
• Do not race, run speed trials, drift or take part in similar dangerous activities on public roads, and do not use the Service to organize them.
• Do not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that affects your attention, or while tired.

Map, route, distance, speed, arrival and location information in the App relies on GPS, device sensors and third-party map services and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. The speed display does not replace your vehicle's speedometer. Do not rely on this information instead of traffic rules or your own judgment.

To the extent permitted by law, the person driving the vehicle is responsible for any accident, injury, property damage, traffic fine, licence action or other consequence that occurs while using the Service.

04Location sharing and other users

When you join a convoy, your location is shared with the other participants of that convoy; when you turn on "Nearby drivers", it is shared with CDR users nearby. We recommend sharing your location only with people you know and trust. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Convoys are created and run by users. CDR does not supervise meetings between users, who joins a convoy or how users behave, and is not responsible for them. Be careful when meeting people you do not know.

05User content

Your username, photos, posts, captions, comments and other content you share ("User Content") belong to you, and you are responsible for them.

By publishing User Content on the Service, you grant CDR a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use, store, reproduce, adapt and display it solely to operate, show, improve and promote the Service, in line with the visibility settings you choose. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account (except for a reasonable period for copies already shared with others and for backups).

You confirm that you have all rights needed for the content you share and that it does not infringe the rights of third parties or the law.

06Prohibited conduct

CDR has zero tolerance for abuse and objectionable content. The following are prohibited:

• sharing harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech, discrimination or content that demeans others,
• sharing obscene, violent or illegal content,
• sharing content that glorifies, encourages or shows dangerous driving, racing, speeding or breaking traffic rules,
• sharing other people's personal data, location or identifying details such as licence plates without permission, or stalking or monitoring others,
• impersonating another person or organization,
• sending spam, advertising, scams or unsolicited commercial messages,
• manipulating statistics or rankings with fake locations, automated tools or bots,
• trying to bypass the Service's security, access systems without authorization, reverse engineer, scrape data or overload the Service,
• infringing intellectual property rights or breaking applicable law.

07Reporting, blocking and moderation

You can report an inappropriate post, comment or user and block a user from within the App. We review reports and, where we consider it appropriate, remove content and act against the user concerned within a reasonable time (our target is 24 hours).

We may remove content that breaks these Terms, restrict its visibility, or suspend or permanently close an account without prior notice. Automatic filters may prevent some content from being published. However, we are not obliged to review all content in advance.

08CDR Pro and subscriptions

CDR's core features are free. CDR Pro is an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription that adds features such as access to your full drive history, detailed analysis and additional map cars. Pro features may change over time; the current content and prices are shown on the purchase screen.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• After purchase, you can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID account settings (Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep Pro features until then.
• If a free trial is offered, the paid subscription starts when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Price changes are announced in advance in line with Apple's rules.

All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policy (reportaproblem.apple.com); CDR cannot issue refunds. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.

Pro is a digital service whose performance begins at purchase. Under applicable consumer law, the right of withdrawal may not apply to digital content and services whose performance has begun with your consent. Your mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

09Intellectual property and licence

The Service, including its software, design, logos, the "CDR" name, car artwork and other content, belongs to CDR or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.

Provided you follow these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on an Apple device that you own or control. This licence is subject to Apple's Usage Rules.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, attempt to obtain the source code of, or commercially use the Service without CDR's written permission.

We may use your suggestions and feedback about the Service without any obligation to you.

10Third-party services

The Service works with third-party services such as Mapbox (maps and live routes), Photon / OpenStreetMap (destination search and place labels), the App Store and push notification services. Your use of them is subject to their providers' terms. CDR is not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or practices of third-party services.

11Changes and interruptions

We may add, change or remove features to improve the Service. The Service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, updates, technical faults, problems with third-party services or reasons beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

If we shut down the Service completely, we will announce it a reasonable time in advance and, where possible, offer a way for you to download your data.

12Closing your account

You can end these Terms at any time by deleting your account in the App.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, endanger the safety of others, abuse the Service, or if the law requires it. Refunds of subscription fees for accounts closed for these reasons are subject to Apple's policies.

When your account is closed, your right to use the Service ends. Except for the provision on the end of the User Content licence, provisions that by their nature should survive termination (liability, indemnity, governing law, etc.) remain in effect.

13Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranty about the accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability of the Service, location and drive data, statistics, or route and arrival information.

Your consumer rights that cannot be limited by contract are not affected.

14Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CDR is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of data, traffic accidents, injuries, vehicle damage, traffic fines or other administrative sanctions, users' conduct towards each other, or damage caused by third-party services, arising from the use of or inability to use the Service.

In any case, and to the extent permitted by law, CDR's total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for CDR Pro in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage.

These limitations do not exclude liability for intent or gross negligence, liability for death or personal injury that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory consumer rights.

15Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover reasonable losses and costs arising from claims against CDR caused by your breach of these Terms or the law, your User Content, or damage you cause to third parties while using the Service.

16Additional terms for Apple

If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and CDR; Apple is not a party to them. CDR, not Apple, is responsible for the App and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• If the App fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price you paid for the App, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
• CDR, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, such as product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims.
• CDR, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any claim that the App infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.

17Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its last updated date. We will announce material changes in the App or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.

18Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The Istanbul (Central) Courts and Enforcement Offices have jurisdiction over disputes arising from the Terms.

If you act as a consumer, your right to apply to the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts where you live under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 is reserved. If you live outside Türkiye, any non-waivable rights granted to you by the consumer laws of your country of residence are also reserved.

19General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is held invalid, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights and obligations under these Terms without our permission.

If there is any difference between the Turkish and English versions of these Terms, the Turkish version prevails.
